Protect: child drawing • love letter • rare poster • original artwork

Why this matters

These objects are not things — they are memory vessels. A child's first drawing, a father's handwriting, a press clipping that changed a life. Emvalor gives those moments the same protection museums give centuries-old artifacts. Preserve memory, not just material.

Technical features & what they solve

Optical-grade UV-blocking acrylic (3mm / 6mm)

What it does: Blocks ≥99.99% of damaging UV wavelengths while maintaining very high visible-light transmission.

Why it matters: UV is the main cause of color fading and paper degradation. Our glazing dramatically slows fading and fiber breakdown.

Polarized / anti-reflective surface

What it does: Multi-layer optical treatment reduces reflections across common viewing angles.

Why it matters: Clear viewing without glare improves user experience and reveals the artwork's true tone.

Dual airtight sealing system

What it does: Elastic gasket for serviceability + butyl secondary seal for long-term gas retention.

Why it matters: Creates a stable micro-environment that isolates the object from humidity swings, pollutants and oxygen.

Inert-gas compatible & serviceable valve

What it does: Pre-drilled low-profile valve for professional nitrogen/argon purging and refilling.

Why it matters: Replacing oxygen with inert gas reduces oxidation and microbial activity — useful for highly sensitive items.

Replaceable desiccant & physical humidity control

What it does: Internal desiccant cartridge and hygroscopic materials keep RH in target range (40–60% typical).

Why it matters: Prevents mold growth and dimensional changes in paper and textiles.

Archival-grade mounts & EVA buffering

What it does: Acid-free mounts, medical-grade EVA shock pads and non-reactive backing materials.

Why it matters: Prevents off-gassing damage, physical abrasion and supports gentle transport.

Frequently asked questions

Why should I choose Emvalor over a regular frame?

Regular frames offer display but little protection. Emvalor is an integrated conservation solution: optical UV glazing, dual airtight seals, archival mounting, and serviceable desiccant and gas options. In short — we reduce irreversible aging processes that ordinary frames cannot prevent.

Isn’t this technology only for museums? Why is it available to individuals?

Museums traditionally use large, highly customized systems. We engineered the same core conservation principles into approachable, producible sizes (A4/A1/A0) that individuals and small institutions can afford and service.

What exactly does the double-seal do? Will gas leak over time?

The double-seal consists of a replaceable elastic gasket (for routine access) and an inner butyl secondary seal for long-term integrity. Under lab testing our assemblies show minimal leakage; performance metrics and SGS/third-party reports will be made available to buyers. Professional refilling is recommended for inert-gas service.

My oil painting was painted recently — can I seal it?

No. If a painting or object off-gasses (fresh paint, recent restoration, adhesives), sealing can trap solvents and cause damage. Such works require evaluation by a conservator before sealing. We provide guidelines and referrals for conservation assessment.

How often does the desiccant need replacing? Is maintenance difficult?

Typical replacement is every 1–3 years depending on environment. The desiccant module is user-replaceable; we provide instructions and consumables. For customers who prefer convenience, we offer a subscription service for desiccant replacement and annual checks (coming soon).

Do you ship worldwide and who pays customs/taxes?

We ship internationally. Shipping cost is calculated at checkout; import duties and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer unless otherwise agreed. For high-value orders we offer CIF / DDP options upon request.

What warranty do you offer?

We provide a 12-month warranty covering manufacturing defects. Scratches, improper handling, and damage from misuse are excluded. Warranty and return terms are detailed in our purchase agreement.

How can I be sure this will help protect my item?

We provide documented testing results for acrylic UV transmission and basic gas-retention figures. Additionally, we can supply documentation for installations (serial number, initial RH reading, and QC sheet) that supports provenance and insurance discussions.

Can you produce custom sizes or bespoke designs?

Yes. Custom sizing and finishes are available; lead times and minimums apply. Contact our sales team for bespoke projects and museum partnerships.
